Manager - Buyer Development

About the role

The Manager – Buyer Development will lead the identification, segmentation, acquisition, engagement and activation of buyers across key food channels in the UAE, including wholesale, distribution, retail, HORECA and institutional buyers. The role will build a structured buyer universe, develop relationships with decision‑makers and translate insights into commercial opportunities for ADFH tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage the UAE buyer universe, establishing relationships with priority food buyers and decision‑makers.
• Drive buyer acquisition, activation and matchmaking with ADFH tenants to generate enquiries and transactions.
• Capture and communicate buyer intelligence, maintain a high‑quality pipeline in CRM and support tenant success through market access.
• Lead, coach and develop the Buyer Development team, setting objectives, KPIs and fostering a culture of commercial execution.
• Contribute to ADFH’s strategic shift toward a buyer‑led trading ecosystem and identify market opportunities to strengthen competitive positioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, Food Business, Economics, Commerce or related field; MBA advantageous.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with experience in buyer research and account management.
• Proven ability to lead teams, set clear objectives and manage performance.
