Manager, Regulatory Affairs – Enterprise Compliance (UAE Nationals Only)

About the role

Support HSBC’s Regulatory Affairs function by managing engagement with UAE regulators and monitoring regulatory developments. The role ensures regulatory requirements are understood, communicated and addressed, promoting a “no surprises” relationship with regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with UAE regulators such as DFSA, Central Bank, SCA and FSRA.
• Prepare and follow‑up on regulatory meetings, inspections, investigations and information requests.
• Produce briefing notes, reports and management information for senior stakeholders.
• Track and communicate emerging regulatory developments across the bank.
• Assist in assessing regulatory changes, drafting consultation responses and handing off implementation to risk and business teams.
• Generate compliance reports, newsletters and other regulatory communications.
• Support internal control standards, identify operational risks and help resolve audit findings.

Required profile

• 3–5 years’ experience in risk, compliance or regulatory affairs within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulators, their agendas and regulatory approaches.
• Proven stakeholder management skills with senior management and external regulators.
• Excellent analytical, communication, influencing and organisational abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Business, Finance, Law or related field; relevant accounting or corporate secretary qualifications are a plus.
