Managing Director – Media & Publishing

About the role

The Managing Director will lead the company's media and publishing operations, safeguarding and enhancing the reputation of all print and online publications. This senior role requires a visionary leader with a strong drive for excellence and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and direct the company image through strategic business initiatives.
• Plan and oversee organisational activities to meet targets for publication quality, culture, and regulatory compliance.
• Guide executive team performance and key functional areas.
• Maintain and evolve organisational culture, values, and market reputation with staff, suppliers, partners, and regulatory bodies.
• Report organisational plans and performance to board members.
• Execute director duties in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in media, journalism, or publishing.
• Significant experience in consumer magazine and publishing sector.
• International experience is a plus.
• Understanding of Dubai/Middle Eastern business culture.
• Forward‑thinking and innovative mindset.
• Arabic language skills are a bonus, not mandatory.
