Materials Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Materials Engineer to support high‑profile construction projects. The role ensures material compliance, manages approvals, and coordinates delivery to keep projects on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Review and manage material submittals against project specifications and contract requirements.
• Ensure compliance with IFC drawings, specifications, and approved standards.
• Coordinate with consultants and PMC for material approvals and closure of technical comments.
• Maintain material submittal logs and tracking systems.
• Liaise with procurement and site teams to guarantee timely delivery and compliance.
• Verify technical data sheets, test reports, certifications, and samples before submission.
• Monitor approved materials on site to ensure correct implementation.
• Support resolution of material‑related technical issues and NCRs.
• Ensure compliance with authority requirements such as ADCD and local regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in construction/material engineering.
• Strong knowledge of material submittals, QA/QC procedures, and project specifications.
• Proven experience handling consultant/PMC approvals and coordination.
• Familiarity with large‑scale projects and authority approval processes.
