Maths Teacher (British / International Curriculum)

About the role

Education 1st Recruitment is seeking a qualified Maths Teacher to deliver the British and International curriculum in Fujairah. The successful candidate will join a dynamic school community, providing high‑quality mathematics instruction and pastoral support to students.

Key responsibilities

• Give students regular feedback, both orally and through accurate and diagnostic marking in line with the school’s marking policy.
• Record and use summative and formative assessments to secure progress.
• Undertake pastoral duties and attend related meetings.
• Participate in curriculum, administration and organisational meetings.
• Maintain a secure knowledge of the curriculum.
• Plan and teach well‑structured lessons documented in the school’s scheme of work.
• Set homework in accordance with school policy.
• Use assessment data to monitor progress, set targets and plan subsequent lessons.
• Attend parents’ meetings prepared to discuss student achievement and well‑being.
• Engage in further training and professional development.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar teaching role.
• Subject‑related degree.
• Experience of working in the UK, USA, South Africa, Australia or Canada.
• Desirable: PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching licence.
