Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Shift Based

About the role

Join Knauf GCC as a Mechanical Technician in Ras Al Khaimah, working rotating shifts to maximise plant equipment availability through preventive and reactive maintenance in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all mechanical maintenance activities during the assigned shift across the Plasterboard, Gypsum, Profile and Pastose plants.
• Maintain and repair equipment such as belt conveyors, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, mills, fans and blowers.
• Carry out welding (arc, MIG, TIG), gas and plasma cutting, and structural/sheet‑metal fabrication.
• Execute preventive maintenance according to schedule, update SAP PM orders and manage spare parts.
• Monitor equipment failures, conduct root‑cause analysis and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter or related trade.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably gypsum board production.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance for rotating and static equipment.
• Ability to work independently on shift and collaborate with production and maintenance teams.
