Medical Advisor Oncology Gulf

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Medical Advisor specializing in Oncology for its Gulf region. The role will serve as the scientific voice for assigned oncology products, supporting both medical and commercial strategies while fostering relationships with key external experts.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the affiliate’s medical and scientific expertise for assigned oncology products.
• Provide expert medical and scientific advice to key customers and external experts.
• Contribute to Medical Affairs strategies and commercial plans under the direction of the Affiliate Medical Director.
• Support cross‑functional affiliate teams and ensure integration of medical affairs into business execution.
• Develop and maintain in‑depth knowledge of assigned products through internal training, congress participation, and self‑study.
• Prepare and review core medical dossiers, including pricing, reimbursement, HEOR, and medical information packs.
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with external experts and academic centers, coordinating advisory boards and scientific meetings.
• Deliver scientific presentations and medical education programs to healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in medicine, pharmacy, or a related life‑science field.
• Significant experience in oncology medical affairs or a comparable scientific role.
• Strong understanding of the Gulf healthcare landscape and regulatory environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with external experts.
