Medical Advisor – Oncology (UAE)

About the role

Abbott, a global healthcare leader, is seeking an Oncology‑focused Medical Advisor to join its Established Pharmaceuticals division in the UAE. The role is field‑based, supporting the oncology therapeutic area across the Gulf region, and involves building scientific partnerships with key opinion leaders and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs, conducting 4‑5 visits per day and creating action plans for each.
• Provide medical and technical support for oncology products, including delivering presentations and education to HCPs.
• Ensure compliance with local and global regulations, reporting adverse events to pharmacovigilance within 24 hours.
• Identify suitable investigators for clinical trials and support post‑marketing research activities.
• Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries and manage medical information requests.

Required profile

• Degree in health sciences (MD, PhD, PharmD or related postgraduate degree preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of oncology experience in the pharmaceutical industry; prior MSL experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of the Gulf healthcare system and pharmaceutical landscape.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Analytical, critical thinking and team‑player mindset.
