About the role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Coder to join our healthcare team in Sharjah. The role involves translating clinical documentation into standardized codes and supporting the insurance claim process.
Key responsibilities
- Assign accurate ICD and CPT codes to patient records.
- Prepare and submit insurance claims in accordance with UAE regulations.
- Handle claim rejections, perform resubmissions, and resolve coding discrepancies.
- Maintain compliance with medical coding guidelines and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with clinical and billing staff to clarify documentation when needed.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in medical coding.
- Prior experience in a UAE healthcare or insurance environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in coding tasks.
- Ability to work morning shifts on-site.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ICD coding systems.
- Proficiency with CPT coding systems.
- Knowledge of medical coding guidelines.
- Experience in insurance claim submission.
- Experience in claim resubmission and rejection handling.
