Merchant Acquisition Specialist

About the role

Tamara, a fintech platform serving customers and partner merchants across retail, travel, education and healthcare, is looking for a Merchant Acquisition Specialist to join its In-store Operations team in Dubai. The specialist signs up new businesses and checks in-store marketing efforts at partner stores, working on the ground with new and existing merchants in a dynamic start-up environment.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively identify and approach potential merchants at their physical store locations, introducing the company's services and explaining the benefits of partnership.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with merchants, understanding their needs and challenges.
• Conduct in-person product or service demonstrations and address merchant concerns to secure new partnerships.
• Gather and report market insights, competitor activity and merchant feedback, including on in-store materials visibility.
• Guide interested merchants through the application and onboarding process so they can start using the service smoothly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field.
• Strong communication, persuasion and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Highly energetic and proactive.
