Middle East HR Director

About the role

Excelerate Energy, which provides LNG and power infrastructure solutions, is looking for a Middle East HR Director based in Dubai. The role reports to the Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer and acts as the senior HR leader for the Middle East organization, working with regional leaders and the global HR team to turn business needs into people strategies while keeping standards and local employment requirements consistent.

Key responsibilities

• Regional HR leadership: advise Middle East leaders on workforce plans, organizational design, staffing, restructuring, new-country entry and growth initiatives.
• Talent acquisition and onboarding: partner with Talent Acquisition on recruitment, offers, onboarding, probation and integration.
• Performance and talent management: lead goal setting, performance reviews, talent reviews, succession planning, development and engagement actions.
• Employee relations: guide performance, conduct, investigations, grievances and organizational change, coordinating with the CHRO, Legal and Compliance.
• Compensation and benefits: implement competitive, compliant and locally appropriate pay, allowances, benefits and annual compensation processes with global counterparts.
• HR operations and compliance: ensure employee documentation and records meet local requirements and keep accurate data in Workday.
• Employee experience and retention: monitor engagement and retention and respond to workforce concerns.
• Support acquisitions, integrations, expansions and other changes, and contribute to global HR projects as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior HR business partnership or regional HR leadership.
• Generalist experience across workforce planning, organizational design, employee relations, performance and talent management, compensation and benefits, and organizational change.
• Demonstrated knowledge of UAE and broader Middle East employment practices.
• Experience partnering with senior executives in a global, multicultural organization; energy, marine, infrastructure, engineering or project development background preferred.
• Able to travel regionally and internationally and work across time zones.
