Middle School English Teacher (American Curriculum)

About the role

A school in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, is recruiting a full-time, on-site Middle School English Teacher working under the American Curriculum. The teacher delivers engaging, structured English lessons that support students' language development, reading comprehension, writing skills and academic progress, while maintaining a positive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with the American Curriculum
• Teach reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and comprehension
• Develop lesson plans, materials and classroom activities
• Assess progress through assignments, activities and examinations and give constructive feedback
• Maintain classroom management and adapt strategies to different learning needs
• Communicate with colleagues on curriculum planning and academic development
• Keep student records and follow school policies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
• Recognized teaching qualification
• At least three years of English teaching experience in the American Curriculum
• Experience teaching at middle school level
• IELTS score of 7.0 or above; candidates who have not yet taken IELTS may be considered if willing to take it after joining, subject to school approval

Required skills

• Strong lesson planning, curriculum delivery and classroom management
• Excellent English communication skills

• Basic salary of AED 10,500-11,000 per month
