Modeling Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Surface Modeling Specialist to create complex 3D surface models and digital designs for products and components. The role works closely with product design, engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to deliver accurate, aesthetically refined and manufacturable models.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality 3D surface models, including Class‑A and freeform surfaces, using advanced CAD techniques.
• Translate sketches, scan data and engineering requirements into precise digital models and maintain detailed CAD documentation.
• Perform surface analysis, curvature and continuity checks, and ensure compliance with GD&T and tolerancing standards.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers and manufacturing teams to support reverse engineering, tooling, prototyping and production.

Required profile

• Proven experience in surface modeling for automotive, aerospace or related engineering fields.
• Strong spatial visualization, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple design projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or a related discipline (preferred).
• Familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.

Required skills

• Surface Modeling, Freeform geometry, Reverse Engineering, Class‑A surface development, Surface reconstruction.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as CATIA, Siemens NX, PTC Creo, SolidWorks or Autodesk Alias.
• Knowledge of GD&T, dimensional tolerancing and manufacturing processes.
