MTU Technician

About the role

The MTU Technician will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and overhaul activities on MTU engine systems, ensuring high‑quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and visual inspections according to MTU manufacturer recommendations.
• Diagnose equipment abnormalities, perform engine repairs, component replacements, and overhaul tasks.
• Utilize diagnostic software and tools such as Vodia and DiaSys to read fault codes and maintenance data.
• Prepare accurate repair reports, failure analyses, and service documentation.
• Maintain workshop safety, housekeeping standards, and ensure compliance with MTU and company quality requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics preferred).
• 5‑10 years of diesel engine maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhaul experience, preferably on MTU engines.
• Strong knowledge of engine systems, common‑rail, PLD, fuel, lubrication, cooling, and electronic control systems.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
