National Consultant – Youth Empowerment (Consultancy)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a National Consultant to support youth empowerment initiatives in the United Arab Emirates. The consultant will provide technical advice to the SDG Club/Ambassadors programme, helping to strengthen children’s and adolescents’ participation in advocacy for Sustainable Development Goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical guidance to the SDG Club/Ambassadors initiative to accelerate national SDG efforts.
• Design and facilitate training sessions for young people on child rights and SDG promotion.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders and UN partners to integrate youth perspectives into policy discussions.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for UNICEF and the SCMC on programme impact.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in social sciences or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in child rights, SDG promotion, and youth training.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
• Valid residence permission in the UAE.

Required skills

• Strong communication and presentation abilities with government officials and adolescents.
