NICU Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate NICU Nurse to join UAE Hospitals’ Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The role involves delivering specialised care to critically ill newborns and supporting their families throughout the hospital stay.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and continuously monitor the health status of newborns in the NICU.
• Provide direct nursing care, administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Track vital signs, blood glucose and oxygen saturation levels.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
• Educate and support families on newborn care procedures and post‑discharge needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to infection‑control and safety protocols.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with NICU advancements.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) licence.
• 2–3 years of NICU nursing experience.
• Strong knowledge of newborn care, NICU protocols and best practices.
• Excellent assessment, critical‑thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (preferred).
