NOC & Permits Engineer (Telecom Network)

About the role

Edara is looking for an Engineer for NOC and permits in the Abu Dhabi region, based in Dubai. The role reviews and processes network clearance requests from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), manages objection certificates and completion certificates, and ensures the telecommunications network is protected during road works.

Key responsibilities

• Review all E-NOC requests in the RTA portal and assign them to the right department after assessing the scope of the proposed works.
• Receive manual documents through the RTA portal to avoid request cancellations and update the NOC registries.
• Review drawings submitted by authorities, consultants and contractors and issue Objection or No Objection Certificates within the agreed SLA with the RTA.
• Prepare drawings showing the existing, proposed and as-built infrastructure network so that NOC requestors can avoid damaging it.
• Ensure ROW corridors are properly allocated for the network's future expansion.
• Issue Completion and Clearance Certificates after site verification and inspection by the supervision or operations team.
• Protect the network during road projects such as widening and asphalting, and generate weekly or monthly progress reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in the telecommunications field.
• At least 2 years of experience in civil infrastructure network implementation and project management.

Required skills

• Good understanding of infrastructure used to build telecom networks.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, project coordination and customer service skills.
