Occupational Therapist – Female (Special Needs)

About the role

The Occupational Therapist will provide specialised assessment and treatment for patients with special needs, working independently or under senior supervision. The role is based in Abu Dhabi and involves direct patient care, supervision of junior staff, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, psychological and social needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain inventory of therapy equipment, report shortages and manage replenishment.
• Deliver occupational therapy interventions in hospital, home, or VIP settings, including travel within and outside the UAE as required.
• Document all clinical activities, complete reports and support audit processes.
• Participate in discharge planning and coordinate ongoing care with other professionals.

Required profile

• Female candidate.
• BSc in Occupational Therapy or an accredited diploma (minimum 3‑year syllabus) with a current national licence or membership in a recognised international body.
