Occupational Therapist – Ghayathi Hospital

About the role

The Occupational Therapist will deliver comprehensive, client‑centered therapy services at Ghayathi Hospital, working either independently or under the supervision of senior therapists. The role involves assessing patients’ physical, psychological and social needs and developing individualized treatment plans.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise junior staff, ensure compliance with departmental policies and maintain inventory of therapy supplies.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients with diverse or complex conditions, using advanced clinical reasoning.
• Develop and implement occupation‑focused treatment programs, monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment options and progress to patients, families and carers, obtaining informed consent where required.
• Prepare comprehensive discharge plans and coordinate ongoing care with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, reports and statistics in line with occupational therapy service policies.

Required profile

• Qualified Occupational Therapist capable of managing an independent caseload under senior supervision.
• Ability to supervise junior staff and ensure adherence to operational rules and policies.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to maintaining up‑to‑date clinical knowledge and professional standards.
