About the role
The Officer, Collection Operations supports the bank's legal and recovery functions by coordinating court cases, managing relationships with law firms, and ensuring timely resolution of collection matters. This role works closely with internal collection teams and external vendors to protect the bank's interests while maintaining compliance with regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate with law firms for new cases assigned to ADGM court and other case types (cheque execution, REPO, civil cases) and update internal trackers.
- Monitor vendor performance, ensuring law firms meet agreed turnaround times and provide required documentation.
- Maintain the legal case management system, flagging cases and retrieving original files according to policy.
- Handle escalated collection requests from various channels and work with collection and recovery teams to provide legal advice.
- Provide backup support for team members during absences, covering criminal, civil, and repo matters.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the banking sector.
