Operational Buyer

About the role

The Operational Buyer ensures customer satisfaction by managing procurement projects from order entry through to project commissioning. This role supports repeatable business by guaranteeing material availability, on‑time delivery, and compliance with corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions accurately and convert them into compliant purchase orders.
• Collaborate with suppliers to align deliveries with production schedules and project requirements.
• Monitor order confirmations, goods receipt, and invoice verification to ensure financial accuracy.
• Identify and resolve cost, quality, delivery, and specification deviations.
• Support supplier performance management and risk mitigation using SAP and SAP Ariba.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in operational purchasing or a comparable role.
• Background in commercial or technical fields with strong procurement knowledge.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, independent, and a problem‑solving team player.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM.
• Experience with SAP Ariba.
