About the role
The Optical Technician is responsible for lens cutting, glazing, fitting, repairs, order processing, stock control, and quality checks to ensure accurate and timely completion of optical orders.
Key responsibilities
- Cut, glaze and fit ophthalmic lenses according to prescriptions and frame specifications; perform frame adjustments and basic repairs.
- Process and deliver optical lens orders, maintain RX lens stock, conduct regular stock checks and replenish as required.
- Conduct quality checks before handing over completed orders, follow equipment maintenance and safety guidelines, and keep the workshop clean.
Required profile
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in the UAE optical sector.
- Relevant qualification or certification in Optical Technology (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment and flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
