Optometrist – Clinical & Retail Role in UAE

About the role

The Optometrist will deliver comprehensive eye examinations, prescribe corrective lenses, and provide contact lens fittings while ensuring a high level of customer service. This position supports both clinical care and optical sales within a busy retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct eye examinations and vision assessments, diagnose common vision problems, and prescribe corrective and contact lenses.
• Perform contact lens fittings and offer eye‑care guidance, maintaining accurate patient records.
• Provide personalized customer service, recommend suitable optical products, and follow up with clients post‑examination.
• Assist with optical sales activities and contribute to customer retention and sales growth.
• Monitor contact lens inventory, check expiry dates, place orders, and oversee equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or recognized qualification in Optometry.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; UAE experience preferred.
• Valid Optometrist license or eligibility letter from MOH, DHA, or DOH.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or Russian is an advantage.
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and varied shifts.
