About the role
The Ritz-Carlton in Dubai is seeking a motivated Pastry Commis II to join its Food & Beverage team. You will support the pastry department by preparing and cooking foods to the brand’s high standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, portion, chop and store food items for cooking.
- Use baking and measuring equipment safely to produce baked goods.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures, including temperature checks.
- Maintain a clean work station, wash and disinfect kitchen areas, and set‑up/break‑down stations.
- Monitor food quality and portion sizes throughout the shift.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Less than 1 year of related pastry or kitchen experience.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lb, stand for long periods and work on uneven surfaces.
- Professional appearance and adherence to company policies.
Required skills
- Basic pastry preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
