Payroll & Compensation & Benefits Specialist

About the role

Dawam Business Solutions is hiring a Payroll & Compensation & Benefits Specialist within its Human Resources department, reporting to the HR Director. The role covers end-to-end payroll administration, compensation structures and salary reviews, and the administration of employee benefits such as health insurance and retirement plans.

Key responsibilities

• Payroll: process and manage end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations and labor laws; prepare and review payroll reports, reconciliations and journal entries; handle employee queries and discrepancies; liaise with finance and external payroll vendors; maintain employee records on compensation, time-off and leave.
• Compensation: support the design, implementation and maintenance of compensation structures and salary bands; support annual salary reviews and bonus processes, including data collection, analysis and communication; conduct market research and benchmarking; provide compensation analysis for promotions, new hires and internal transfers.
• Benefits: administer and manage benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans and pension programs; support open enrollment and coordinate with benefits providers; educate employees about their benefits and help with claims and inquiries; ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
• Compliance and reporting: ensure payroll and benefits comply with local, state and federal laws; prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for HR, finance and senior management; support audits and regulatory filings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, accounting, business administration or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration and compensation.
• Familiarity with labor laws and compensation/benefit regulations.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
