Pharmacist (Emirati Talent)

About the role

Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital, part of M42, is recruiting a Pharmacist for its Sharjah facility. The pharmacist performs daily pharmaceutical operations such as preparing, compounding and dispensing medication according to physician prescriptions and M42 and DOH policies. The position is aimed at UAE nationals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pharmaceutical operations including medication preparation, verification, compounding, packaging, labeling, dispensing and delivery in line with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Review and interpret physicians' prescriptions and medication orders, identifying potential drug interactions and therapeutic incompatibilities.
• Verify medication orders, PBM approvals, billing charges and pharmaceutical preparations for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain accurate patient medication records and pharmacy documentation in a timely and confidential way.
• Support inventory management, including controlled drug monitoring, stock control and removal of expired or damaged medications.
• Take part in clinical pharmacy programs, quality improvement initiatives, research activities and patient safety projects.
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients and families while following infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support pharmacy logistics and communicate regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor in Pharmacy.
• Active UAE license as Pharmacist.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, medication management and patient safety practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
