Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Mediclinic Dubai Mall is hiring one Pharmacy Technician to carry out administrative and technical duties related to the preparation and dispensing of pharmaceutical drugs, following standard procedures and guidelines and working under the supervision of a qualified Pharmacist.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medication accurately and properly under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, in line with company policy and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out general administrative support for the Pharmacist, including dispensing, prescriptions, billing, insurance claims and cash management.
• Support stock control and management so that stock levels remain appropriate, medications are stored correctly and deliveries to wards are timely.
• Help with patient recordkeeping and insurance administration.
• Monitor governance and risk management practices to ensure compliance with company standards and patient safety guidelines.

Required profile

• A relevant Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from an accredited institution, as required by the relevant licensing authority.
• Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the relevant healthcare authority is desired.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical field within a healthcare setting.
• Current registration in the applicant's country of origin.

Required skills

• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of insurance procedures and billing rules.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English.
