Planner - Shutdowns DRP 3 & SMP3

About the role

The Shutdown Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed job plans for plant shutdowns, ensuring safe and efficient execution of maintenance work. This role continuously improves maintenance strategies and collaborates with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to meet operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed job plans for repetitive shutdown maintenance tasks, fostering standardization.
• Manage work notifications and backlog, reviewing and grouping orders for efficient planning.
• Coordinate with production to align job plans with production timing requirements.
• Create purchase orders for required components and maintain a comprehensive job‑plan library.
• Forward completed “ready to schedule” packages to the Scheduler and ensure all planning functions are completed before assigning Planned status.
• Identify priority equipment, statutory inspections, and critical tasks to prioritize work orders.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical workshops to develop risk assessments and support maintenance technicians and engineering teams.
• Update site master data and documentation through the Management of Change system.
• Measure planning performance using site metrics and assist with long‑term budget development.
