Planning Engineer - Façade

About the role

Meraki Developers is looking for an experienced Planning Engineer with a strong background in the façade industry, particularly aluminium, glass, curtain wall and glazing systems. The role covers project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, resource allocation and coordination with project teams to deliver façade works on time.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project, and prepare detailed plans for fabrication, procurement, delivery, installation and handover.
• Coordinate with project managers, design teams, procurement, production and site teams.
• Monitor progress against approved schedules, identify delays, critical activities and risks, and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports, look-ahead schedules and recovery plans.
• Track engineering submissions, material approvals, shop drawings, procurement and installation milestones.
• Plan manpower, equipment and materials, run progress meetings and follow up on action items with subcontractors.
• Analyse delays, prepare delay reports, mitigation strategies and revised schedules, and coordinate milestones with main contractors and consultants.
• Maintain project documentation, baseline schedules and progress records, and support project managers in meeting contractual deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of project planning experience, preferably in façade, aluminium, glass or construction.
• Strong knowledge of curtain walls, aluminium windows and doors, glazing and cladding.
• Experience coordinating with engineering, procurement, production and site installation teams; UAE or GCC project experience preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Project scheduling, critical path analysis, resource planning and progress monitoring.
• Knowledge of construction documentation and reporting procedures.
• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
