Planning Engineer

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Dubai focuses on developing and maintaining detailed project schedules for construction and infrastructure projects. The Planning Engineer will work closely with project managers, engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure that resources are aligned with milestones and that progress is accurately tracked.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update baseline and look‑ahead schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Monitor project progress, prepare weekly and monthly status reports, and produce dashboards for senior management.
• Analyse performance data, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate production planning activities and ensure resource allocation matches schedule requirements.
• Supervise on‑site activity progress and verify alignment with scheduled targets.
• Evaluate subcontractor performance using KPIs and ensure contract compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in construction project planning or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and project‑control capabilities.
• Effective communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to work on‑site in Dubai and adapt to a multicultural environment.
