Planning Engineer – MEP/ELV Projects

About the role

The Planning Engineer (MEP/ELV) will develop, monitor and control project schedules for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and low‑voltage (ELV) works. You will ensure timely execution of MEP activities by coordinating with design, procurement, site and subcontractor teams using Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP/ELV project schedules, baseline programs, WBS and manpower histograms.
• Track progress of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and ELV works against the baseline and update schedules regularly.
• Analyse delays, critical‑path impacts and propose recovery plans.
• Coordinate with project managers, MEP engineers, subcontractors and procurement teams.
• Produce weekly/monthly progress reports, S‑curves, dashboards and KPI updates.
• Support delay analysis, EOT claims and Time Impact Analyses.
• Develop look‑ahead schedules and monitor procurement and installation timelines.
• Align subcontractor schedules with the overall project programme.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil engineering.
• Experience in MEP/ELV projects within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Good understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and ELV systems.
• Excellent coordination, analytical and reporting abilities.
