Planning Engineer - Water Projects

About the role

Black Pearl Consult is looking for an experienced Planning Engineer for water projects in Dubai. The role works closely with the resident engineer to plan and control the schedule of water infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the project execution plan with the resident engineer, setting out engineering techniques and milestone sequences
• Set activity targets and ensure they meet Dubai Municipality (DM) specifications and requirements
• Estimate timescales and costs using specialized design software packages such as Primavera
• Monitor day-to-day progress and report accurate weekly and monthly reports, flagging delays or slippages
• Track and analyze field results, comparing planned and actual progress and reporting differences to the lead project manager
• Study the impact of alternative approaches

Required profile

• Relevant degree from a recognized university with a civil engineering background
• At least 10 years of experience in design and construction programming and planning of similar projects
• Experience in drainage, sewerage, water infrastructure, pump stations, sewage treatment plants, wastewater systems, RO plants and water transmission pipelines (9 to 15 years)
• DM approval; ideally DM and UAE experience
