Plumbing Engineer

About the role

Careers International is hiring a Plumbing Engineer in Dubai for civil construction projects. The engineer designs and executes water supply, drainage and sewage systems, supervises site works and coordinates plumbing with other trades.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, sewage) according to project scope.
• Review and interpret plumbing drawings, BOQs and technical specifications.
• Supervise and inspect site plumbing works to ensure compliance with design and standards.
• Carry out pressure testing, flushing and system leak checks.
• Prepare and submit material submittals, method statements and shop drawings.
• Coordinate plumbing works with civil, HVAC and electrical trades to avoid clashes.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes and regulations (e.g. DEWA, DDA).
• Liaise with consultants, contractors and local authorities for approvals and inspections.
• Prepare daily site progress reports and inspection logs, and support commissioning and handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of UAE/GCC experience in plumbing systems for building projects.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, piping standards and system design.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• UAE driving licence preferred but not mandatory.
