Pool and Beach Attendant – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Pool and Beach Attendant ensures a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for guests at the resort’s pool, beach and recreation areas. Working closely with the recreation team, you will provide information, assist with activities and maintain the facilities to the highest standards of the Ritz‑Carlton brand.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, explain pool, beach and recreation facilities, and promote safety rules.
• Register guests for activities, schedule participation and encourage use of amenities.
• Handle point‑of‑sale transactions for equipment rentals, activity fees and retail sales.
• Monitor the pool and beach areas, respond to emergencies, provide first‑aid assistance and alert medical services when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of pools, beach, equipment and surrounding areas; report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Assist with private functions and group events held in recreation spaces.
• Support guests with disabilities and ensure a respectful, inclusive experience.

Required profile

• Excellent customer‑service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and on slippery surfaces.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk and lift objects up to 25 lb (assistance for heavier items).
• Clear communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and attend required training.

Required skills

• Operation of point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
• Basic computer usage for reservations and reporting.
• Ability to read and verify information on signage and equipment.
