Post-Doctoral Associate in Developmental Biology and Bioengineering

About the role

The Kamei Reverse Bioengineering Laboratory at NYU Abu Dhabi seeks a Post-Doctoral Associate to advance developmental biology and disease modeling through interdisciplinary research.

Key responsibilities

• Design and fabricate nano- and micro‑engineered platforms that interface with human stem cells.
• Investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms of organogenesis and early embryogenesis.
• Lead experiments from conception through publication in high‑impact journals.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers.
• Contribute to grant writing and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in science, engineering, or a closely related field awarded before the start date and within five years of completion.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one of: device design/fabrication, stem‑cell culture, high‑resolution imaging, omics, or bioinformatics.
• Strong publication record and excellent communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
