Principal – Founding Leader for Bright Minds American Academy

About the role

GEMS School Management is seeking an outstanding educational leader to become the founding Principal of Bright Minds American Academy, a new American‑curriculum school in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. Reporting directly to the CEO and Senior Vice President, you will shape the school’s vision, culture and operational framework.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the transition and launch of Bright Minds American Academy.
• Develop and execute a school‑wide improvement strategy focused on academic excellence and student wellbeing.
• Build a high‑performing leadership team and foster a culture of accountability.
• Manage budgets, operational performance and stakeholder relationships.
• Prepare the school for accreditation, inspections and future growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in school improvement, turnaround or establishing new schools.
• Strong understanding of accreditation requirements and safeguarding policies.
• Demonstrated ability to improve student outcomes and increase enrolment.
• Experience managing budgets and operational performance.
• Exceptional leadership and people‑management skills.
