Procurement Executive - Construction

About the role

A Procurement Executive is needed in Dubai, UAE, in the construction industry. The role covers sourcing construction materials, obtaining competitive quotations, negotiating with suppliers and making sure materials arrive on time at project sites while keeping quality and cost standards.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing and procuring construction materials, equipment, tools and other project supplies according to project needs.
• Identifying, evaluating and maintaining relationships with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Requesting and comparing quotations, preparing comparative statements and negotiating price, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Preparing and processing purchase orders within approved budgets and company procedures.
• Following up with suppliers for timely delivery and verifying material specifications, quantities, quality and compliance.
• Maintaining records of purchase orders, quotations, supplier agreements, invoices and delivery documents.
• Resolving issues such as delivery delays, material discrepancies and supplier performance concerns.

Required profile

• Relevant procurement experience, preferably in the construction industry in the UAE.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, building materials, MEP supplies and related procurement processes.
• Familiarity with purchase orders, quotation comparison, supplier evaluation and inventory coordination.
• Ability to handle several purchase requests and meet project deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Experience with ERP or procurement software.
