Procurement Officer – Education Resources

About the role

Fortes Investment is looking for a Procurement Officer to lead the sourcing and purchasing of educational resources, books, IT equipment and related services for schools in Dubai. The role requires immediate availability and close collaboration with school teams and suppliers to ensure cost‑effective, timely delivery of high‑quality materials.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement of teaching materials, consumables, books, IT equipment, marketing items and selected Annual Maintenance Contracts.
• Process purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders and contracts within approved budgets, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Source, evaluate and onboard qualified suppliers, track outstanding orders and resolve shortages or quality issues.
• Oversee selected AMCs, monitor vendor performance and ensure timely renewals.
• Analyse annual spend by category, improve procurement processes and strengthen the vendor base.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in school or education‑related purchasing.
• CIPS Level 4 certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE local suppliers and market pricing.
• Valid UAE driving licence.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with procurement ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• High proficiency in data analysis for spend reporting and quotation comparisons.
