Procurement Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Officer with strong commercial acumen and hands‑on experience in end‑to‑end procurement, preferably within the education sector. The role involves working closely with school teams and suppliers to ensure timely, cost‑effective acquisition of educational resources and related operational items.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement of educational resources, consumables, books, IT equipment, marketing materials and selected Annual Maintenance Contracts.
• Process purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders and contracts in line with approved budgets, ensuring cost efficiency, quality and timely delivery.
• Source, evaluate and onboard qualified suppliers, track outstanding orders, coordinate deliveries and resolve shortages or quality issues.
• Oversee selected AMCs, monitor vendor performance and ensure timely renewals.
• Review and continuously improve procurement processes, controls and compliance, and analyse annual spend by category.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in school procurement or with educational resource suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of local UAE suppliers, market pricing and procurement regulations.
• Valid UAE driving licence.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with procurement ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• High proficiency in data analysis, quotation comparison and spend analysis.
• Ability to prepare detailed procurement reports.
