Procurement Officer – MEP

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer specialized in MEP to manage procurement activities for construction projects in the UAE. The role involves sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality materials.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and ELV materials.
• Source, evaluate and pre‑qualify suppliers and subcontractors based on technical compliance, pricing, quality and delivery timelines.
• Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate competitive prices and commercial terms.
• Review material requisitions, BOQs and technical specifications to ensure accurate purchasing.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, estimation and commercial teams to align with material specifications and budgets.
• Track purchase orders, approvals, deliveries and outstanding orders to meet project schedules.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 5–6 years of procurement experience within the UAE MEP construction industry.
• Proven experience purchasing MEP materials and equipment for construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE MEP suppliers, manufacturers, material availability and market pricing.
• Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation and organisational skills.
