Procurement Operations Manager

About the role

ADIB Group is looking for a Procurement Operations Manager in Abu Dhabi. The role leads the Procurement Operations team and supports the Head of Department in running the VMCP (Value Managed Central Procurement) function, covering policy and procedures, procurement technology, governance and control, and talent management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute VMCP low-level spend commodities on behalf of ADIB departments and act as an enabler to increase VMCP's share of total spend
• Lead major negotiations and procurement activities and present to senior stakeholders when required
• Proactively identify and reduce supply chain risk and build the VMCP brand
• Lead VMCP reporting to senior management, including savings, risks, BRCC, RSCA and ORM, and drive departmental reporting
• Reduce process exceptions, ensure timely vendor registration, and map catalogue spend to purchase order spend to drive digitalization
• Review lifecycle activities, run gap analyses and document a roadmap, and feed customer feedback into the department roadmap
• Own risk management strategies for strategic and critical vendors and manage the vendor commercial directory
• Deliver year-on-year savings, track benefits realization, and monitor budgets and costs with business teams
• Act as point of contact for Audit, ORM, ICD and similar engagements

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of procurement experience
• CIPS qualification (or working towards); legal awareness (LLB) and/or experience in financial services
• Experience in customer management, data analytics and reporting, and excellent presentation skills
