Procurement Specialist – Packaging Materials

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist focused on packaging materials to ensure continuous supply and cost‑effective sourcing within a fast‑moving consumer goods environment. The role will own the end‑to‑end Source‑to‑Pay process for items such as bottles, pouches, films, corrugates and closures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead RFP/RFQ processes, evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms and execute contracts.
• Guarantee uninterrupted availability of packaging materials while minimizing pre‑payments.
• Monitor procurement KPIs and enforce internal SOPs.
• Maintain and develop supplier relationships, addressing delivery, quality or documentation issues.
• Support packaging innovation, new product development timelines and sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Quality, Finance and Operations teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in FMCG, trading or retail.
• Hands‑on expertise in sourcing packaging materials.
• Proficiency with SAP MM, advanced Excel and procurement analytics.
• Strong understanding of packaging material markets, cost drivers and relevant indexes.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and import/export documentation.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
