Product Support Engineer - Trucks & Heavy Equipment

About the role

Al Marwan Group, founded in 1978 and active across the construction, heavy machinery, oil & gas, real estate, development and hospitality sectors in the GCC, is hiring a Product Support Engineer in Sharjah. The engineer provides technical support for trucks and heavy equipment, investigates field failures, troubleshoots technical issues and coordinates with customers and internal teams to resolve product concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Act as technical liaison between R&D, customers and field service teams to investigate and resolve field failures.
• Troubleshoot issues involving engines, transmissions, controllers and related systems.
• Use knowledge of electrical and electronic systems to diagnose equipment faults.
• Provide technical guidance and support to service technicians.
• Investigate recurring breakdowns and recommend corrective actions.
• Respond to customer technical queries and coordinate resolution of product concerns.
• Prepare and monitor daily work plans for technical support activities.
• Assess service-related breakdowns and coordinate technical interventions.
• Manage and follow up on warranty claims, ensuring timely submission and resolution.
• Maintain technical records and give feedback to teams to improve product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 4-5 years of experience in product support, technical service or after-sales support.
• Experience with a truck or heavy equipment dealership is an advantage.
• Good customer service, technical communication and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of engines, transmissions, controllers and electrical/electronic systems.
• Ability to coordinate with service technicians, customers and internal technical teams.
