Production Employee (Electric Controller)

About the role

Tornatech is hiring a Production Employee (Electric Controller) in Jebel Ali on a full-time permanent basis. The employee follows fire pump controller project plans from the engineering department to carry out production functions such as layout, mounting, wiring, box preparation and final assembly. The employee reports to the production supervisor and works in a cell-based shop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Verify the kit of materials for each project against the project's BOM, then select and install components on the mounting plate according to the pre-engineered plan and customer-specific mounting instructions.
• Follow standardised electrical schemes and instructions to connect components on the panel plate, including control wiring, power wiring and basic added options.
• Prepare controller boxes by inserting handles, labels, lights, welding feet and transformers, and adding extra customer options.
• Check box preparation and cabling, mechanically assemble plates in the controller box, and complete final assembly including interconnections, transformer wiring, emergency handle and label installation.
• Perform pre-testing depending on experience, and carry out any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Training is provided in all production functions for cases where displacement is required. Performance is evaluated on the ability to perform the essential functions, quality of work, order and cleanliness of the workstation, compliance with health and safety regulations and cooperation with colleagues and the supervisor.
