Production Engineer

About the role

The Production Engineer will support the delivery of fabrication and construction projects by applying engineering knowledge to solve straightforward production challenges. Working under moderate supervision, the role focuses on reviewing scope, schedules, drawings, and material plans to ensure smooth execution.

Key responsibilities

• Review project scope, schedules, and specifications to understand deliverables.
• Prepare detailed Scope of Work and task listings.
• Analyze fabrication schedules and suggest improvements.
• Check drawings for constructability and identify special subcontract requirements.
• Monitor material reports, requisitions, and delivery issues.
• Provide field guidance and ensure compliance with company specifications.
• Attend production meetings, report concerns, and track weekly fabrication progress.
• Coordinate with construction engineers, subcontractors, and shop floor planning to align procedures and changes.
• Approve fabrication drawings and review work pack deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant.
• Familiarity with API RP2A, AISC, and AWS standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
