Production Engineer – Offshore Fabrication & Construction

About the role

The Production Engineer will support offshore fabrication and construction projects by applying technical knowledge to solve straightforward engineering challenges. Working under moderate supervision, the role focuses on reviewing project documentation, ensuring material availability, and monitoring production progress.

Key responsibilities

• Review scope of work, schedules, and specifications to understand deliverables.
• Prepare detailed Scope of Work and task listings.
• Analyze fabrication schedules, suggest corrections, and monitor weekly progress.
• Assess drawings for constructability, identify special items, and coordinate subcontract requirements.
• Review material reports, requisitions, and grade/plate sizing assumptions; initiate site queries for material substitutions.
• Provide field guidance, ensure compliance with company specifications, and attend production meetings.
• Coordinate with construction engineers, subcontractors, and shop floor planning to align procedures and schedules.
• Approve fabrication drawings and review Work Pack deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant.
• Familiarity with API RP2A, AISC, and AWS standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
