Production Operator

About the role

The Production Operator is responsible for pre‑batching, blending and producing batches in line with defined processing instructions and quality standards. The role involves operating production equipment, handling raw materials safely, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in a coatings manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑batching, blending and mixing of raw materials according to approved batch slips.
• Operate mixers, pumps, scales, forklifts and other production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre‑batch inspections, monitor grind, mix and consistency throughout the run.
• Refill mix tanks, ensure proper material flow and clean equipment following standard procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping, cleanliness of work area and comply with safety, quality and environmental standards.

Required profile

• High school/ITI/Diploma (Mechanical, Chemical or related) with 1‑3 years experience in manufacturing, preferably coatings or chemicals.
• Physically fit, able to handle manual drum operations and material transfers.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and housekeeping; good team player with communication skills.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Manual drum handling and liquid transfer using hand pumps.
• Operation of mixers, pumps, scales and other production equipment.
• Accurate measuring and weighing of raw materials.
• Knowledge of safe handling of chemicals and raw materials.
