Project Engineer - Bridge Maintenance Project

About the role

Egis Group is recruiting a Project Engineer for a bridge maintenance project in Abu Dhabi. The role manages and supervises day-to-day bridge maintenance activities so that works are completed safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the client, consultant, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor site progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and approved work procedures.
• Plan and allocate manpower, equipment and materials for efficient delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and quality requirements.
• Review technical drawings, method statements and work schedules.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and maintain project documentation.
• Attend project meetings and resolve technical and site-related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a Project Engineer on bridge maintenance, bridge rehabilitation or similar infrastructure maintenance projects in the UAE.
• Experience with government or semi-government infrastructure projects in the UAE is preferred.
• Valid UAE driving licence (mandatory).

Required skills

• Strong project planning and site coordination skills.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and safe work practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Primavera P6 is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities.
