Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination and delivery of construction and fit‑out projects. The role ensures projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior project managers in planning, coordinating and executing construction projects.
• Monitor project schedules, track progress and prepare regular progress reports.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, contractors and internal departments to ensure smooth execution.
• Conduct site inspections, review shop drawings, technical submissions and material approvals.
• Identify risks, recommend mitigation plans and ensure compliance with health, safety and quality regulations.
• Support tender evaluations, contractor selection and monitor contractual performance.
• Review progress claims, variations and assist in cost control to maintain approved budgets.
• Conduct quality inspections, manage snagging activities and oversee testing and commissioning.
• Provide project updates to management and coordinate handover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is an advantage.
• LEED accreditation or other sustainability certification is desirable.
• 5–7 years of experience in construction project management, fit‑out or building projects.
• Proven experience managing consultants, contractors and multiple stakeholders.
