Project Engineer – Projects Department

About the role

The Project Engineer will support and execute engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from concept and FEED through detailed design, construction, commissioning and hand‑over. The role ensures delivery in line with safety, quality, schedule, cost and Value Assurance Process (VAP) requirements while coordinating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering and execution support for all project phases, from concept to commissioning.
• Develop Statements of Requirements (SOR) and contribute to project execution strategies.
• Assist in tender preparation, evaluate consultants, PMC and EPC contractors.
• Review contractor deliverables, construction strategies and methodologies for compliance.
• Monitor engineering, procurement and construction progress, identify bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
• Support value‑engineering, constructability reviews and technical workshops.
• Coordinate with licensors, contractors, vendors and internal teams; participate in project meetings and technical reviews.
• Track contractor performance, invoices, claims and project variations in collaboration with cost teams.
• Facilitate risk analysis, PHSER and ATR reviews per ADNOC procedures.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, safety, quality and engineering standards.
• Maintain project documentation, prepare progress reports and support hand‑over to Operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of project management experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary project execution.
• Strong monitoring of contractor performance and deliverables.
• Proactive identification of engineering and execution risks.
• Demonstrated capability to ensure technical compliance and quality assurance.
• Effective collaboration with project, engineering and operations teams.
